The Wolf who spread his wings, brings destruction.
LA’FEU POLICE DEPARTMENT, DOWNTOWN LA’FEU CITY
22:00PM FCT, JULY 3RD
It’s a hot summer evening in the Police Department. TL-tubes where whizzing electricity and radiating off heat. It was a spacious building, yet it was stocked with cubicles. Too cool off was there several fans installed in the ceiling and windows were opened to let fresh air come inside.
Next to the regular Force was there also an elite team, called ‘Mythicals’. It may sound like a basketball team, but it isn’t. The elite team is specialized in – you guessed it – mythical or alien species.
Leading the team is a 6 foot tall, very well built Bull called Tyson Wellington.
He was wearing a light blue tee with an ‘M’ encrusted badge on his right shoulder, a black/navy dashed necktie, a pair of black pants and classy black shoes. To top it off, he wears a standard police hat.
One faithful day, Tyson came back from his last routine in Downtown La’Feu City.
He sat down in his cubicle, staring at the screen and started to search for a vacation destination. ‘Just two more days…’ he thought as he looked at the calendar. He looked back at the screen as the screen showed his reflection. He sighed and looked around his cubicle.
‘It was one of these days…’ The Bull stretched his buff body and yawned lightly. ‘What a long and exhausting day in the ever so busy city, such as La’Feu, was this one of the easy ones. It felt like the day was going slow, that was, until the call came through.’
As he sat back on his chair started the phone on the desk to ring. It was a registered number, coming from his boss. Tyson picked the phone up, saying with a dark and sexy tone: “Officer Wellington here.” whereas his boss replied with a serious tone: “Wellington, come over to my office.”
‘Strange,’ he thought while he made his way towards the boss’ office. ‘the boss is never this serious over the phone.’ The Bull pierced his eyes. ‘Something’s definitely wrong.’ His hand landed on the door handle. Yet again took Tyson another sigh and entered the room.
“Tyson.” said the boss, standing in front of the open window. “Please, have a seat.”
The Bull did what his superior assigned him to do and took a seat whereas the boss – a 5’19” tall and slender Leopard – walked back towards his chair. His hands were shaking lightly.
“Does something concern you, Sergeant Clifton?” said the Bull as he stared at the Leopard’s hands. The Leopard nodded and replied: “I hope you are familiar with the Rampaging Dragon case?”
Tyson nodded. “I’ve read files of them. Their repertoire is quite amusing.”
“Good.” said Sergeant Clifton. He grabbed another file from the file cabinet behind him and flopped it on the desk. “Intel has told us that there’s a new Dragon hidden amongst us.” Tyson looked into the file and looked at Clifton. “I’ll be guessing it’s my duty to put an end to it?”
Sergeant Clifton nodded once more. “Yes, but this time you have to go solo. When a whole team pulls out for one individual, it seems that the person we looking for has already fled, leaving the trail cold.” He stood up and walked back to the window.
“Officer Wellington,” he turned and looked at the Bull. “I’m sending you out to the Docks. Maybe the Dragon will appear there.”
Tyson saluted towards Sergeant Clifton, stood up out of the chair and walked out the room.
The Leopard looked back outside. Through the window was the light beacon of the Lighthouse visible. He growled. “Good luck.”
DEAN’S APARTMENT, LA’FEU CITY
23:50PM FCT, JULY 3RD
Night time. What was used to be a good and relaxing sleep was this time different than the other nights. He was sweating all over his face, his upper body was uncovered and his sheets were everywhere. The only thing that was covered was his groin and balls. Dean twisted and turned, grunting and mumbling words that were unspeakable.
The star shaped ruby started to glow bright red, as the book’s cover started to vibrate. By every pulse of the ruby vibrated the book more vigorously than the last time. Dean started to experience pain. His teeth started to sharpen lightly as he softly shouted out from the pain. His paws started to change into claws as his fur went from soft and fluffy to hard and scaly. His muscles got bigger as his length went from 6’01” to 6’5”.
Like a bullet went through his body, shocked Dean awake and shouted out loudly of pain. His voice morphed with that of a majestic yet mighty roar. The ruby glared bright red, infusing with the markings on his chest. The marking changed into two star shaped markings.
Glass out of the windows was shattered as the Dragon unfolds his wings. He flew out of the apartment and roared loudly, making the windows near him shatter. People down on the road screamed and ran for cover as the shards fell down.
The royal and rather large Dragon flew out to the Docks at high speed, making more destruction along the way.
LA’FEU CITY DOCKS, EAST LA’FEU CITY
00:20AM FCT, JULY 4TH
The Docks. One of Furlonia’s biggest places where it comes to import and export of varied items. From the littlest things as toy cars to an army tank are brought here by cargo ships. With about 100km of docking space that goes from the city to the mountains, La’Feu City Docks has the biggest dock of the world.
As the Dragon made his way towards the Docks, Tyson arrived there earlier on to do a minor parameter check. ‘Nothing to see here. I guess that the old chief was wrong all along…’ he thought as he walked back to his car.
As soon as the Bull stepped in the car and started the engine, the Dragon landed right in front of Tyson’s car.
Tyson shocked and looked up through his windscreen. He couldn’t believe his eyes as he began to sweat. He never ever has sweat before in this kind of situation, but this was different than all those other events. This was a real Dragon.
‘This cannot be…Is it?’ he thought. The sweaty Bull stepped out of the car and felt hot, short breaths of air coming his way.
Tyson slowly tilted up his head to look what was giving him that intruding scent.
‘It is…real…?’ he thought.
The Dragon grabbed the Bull by his shoulder so hard, his muscles began to hurt him ather than helping him out the muggy situation, and threw him towards a stacked pile of boxes filled with china.
The boxes was dented and the content was pulverised as Tyson crashed into the pile.
“How come that the boss was right?” he questioned himself as he was restoring from the excruciating pain.
Tyson opened his eyes and saw grapnel bungling about above his head. He stretched out his hand and grabbed it to support himself to get up. With light wounds on his back, he grabbed it hold and swung the grapnel towards the Dragon with the attempt to hurt him equally as he was wounded by.
The grapple swung and hit the Dragon’s righter shoulder blade which disabled him from flying. The Dragon grunted of pain and turned towards the direction of the swung grapnel. As he ran off towards Tyson, the Bull grabbed a deadweight out of a stored box and swung towards the Dragons feet which swept the reptile’s feet.
‘Not much a challenge, these so called rampaging Dragons.’ he thought, thinking that the battle was finally over.
He walked over to check if the Dragon was dead for sure, but he made a serious mistake. Being so close got the Dragon the opportunity to grab the Bull by his legs, and threw him upwards. Tyson flailed when he was launched into the air as the Dragon got up again.
When the Dragon looked up to see if Tyson was coming down, he got kicked in the face and fell unconsciously on the hard, cold, cinder blocked floor.
As Tyson landed on the floor safely – thanks to kicking the Dragon senseless out of mid-air – fell the star shaped ruby out of the Dragon’s chest and lost its glow when it hit the floor, making the transformation undone.
‘What?’ he thought as picked the necklace up. He stared at it for a moment and looked at the Dragon, or now the good old’ Dean.
‘This can’t be? The Dragon is just this guy?’ He looked at the injuries on Dean’s body.
‘I’d better get him home. This needs more investigation.’
He searched for Dean’s identity card and looked up for his address.
He dragged Dean into the car – which was undamaged during the fight – put the safety belt on him and drove him towards his apartment.
